I had to split the tractor and measure the distance from the bell housing to the throw-out bearing(fully backed off)and then adjust the arms accordingly---not a happy camper! Those arms don't travel very far to release the disc. A good service manual should give you the stand-out measurement. dale wrote on Thursday, February 18, 2016 (PST): the fingers should be pretty hard to move when the plate is bolted to the flywheel as it gets a bit of pre-load on it because it is pressing against the clutch disc sandwiched between it and the flywheel. Adjustments to the fingers are originally done on a flat bench when they are first built and usually don't need any further adjustment unless the fingers are not uniformly at an even height where they will contact the throw-out bearing. If you haven't disturbed the settings on these fingers, I wouldn't recommend you do so now! If you have, you'll need to get a factory manual that hopefully will have the height setting listed for the overall distance from a flat surface the plate rests on to the tip of the finger where it will contact the throw-out bearing. Almost all of your clutch adjustments are made via the threaded portion of the rod that connects the clutch pedal to the throw-out bearing actuating fork and the pressure plate is almost always set up correctly out of the box (admittedly, anything made in China can be an exception to that rule....) Drop hyd unit and short shaft and you can get fly wheel and clutch and pressure plate out of the back.
